Beef with Broccoli served with Steamed Rice is one of the easiest recipe you can prepare when craving for some chinese food. The recipe is ready in just 30 minutes and the ingredients is readily available at any supermarket near you. Since it is a sunday, having lunch together in our humble abode is a must.
Instead of using beef strips, I used the Sukiyaki Beef Cut because it cooks easily and I love how it is thinly sliced together with its fat 🙂
For full flavor, I suggest you marinate the beef in Soy Sauce, Sugar and Garlic for at least 15 minutes.
While marinating the beef, you can prepare the other ingredients; onion,button mushroom, broccoli, oyster sauce and pepper.
Heat your wok (kawali). Add 1 tablespoon of oil then sautee your onions until lightly brown. Add your mushrooms and let it simmer for about 2 minutes. Add your thinly sliced beef, stir until mixed with the mushroom. Cover and let it simmer for 5 minutes. You can now add the left-over marinade, oyster sauce and pepper. Add the brocolli and cook until the brocolli is half-cooked , about 3 minutes. Your dish is now ready.
